easter program

Isaiah's lines were:
Now, that's what Easter really means.
It's quite a special day.
Jesus our Savior rose again.
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

The kindergartners said their lines first, and then the pre-schoolers came out to sing songs with them. They were so cute. Even with a huge bruise on Isaiah's forehead and a huge scratch and bruise on Elias's cheek.

upwards basketball

Isaiah played Upwards basketball through our church this year, and Bryan coached his team. Our Saturday mornings were committed to basketball for two and a half months, and Isaiah loved it. It was so fun to watch him play and learn the game. I look forward to watching both boys next year! But for now, I'm super glad to have our lazy Saturday mornings back.

an early birthday present

We were debating between a swing set or a trampoline for the kids this year for their birthdays.

This day pretty much made us settle on a swing set.
They looked so dejected when I went out to check on them. They had hung up the swings on the poles all by themselves, but were so disappointed that they didn't swing very well.

I was cracking up. I was impressed with their creativity. Plus, they sat in those swings for a good 20 minutes. My boys never sit for 20 minutes anywhere.
So, swing set it is!
This boy was so excited

what a day

Raelynn pooped in the tub.

Bryan attended to the poo before he got her dressed.

She pooped in the laundry room, walked in it, and spread it throughout the living room all while yelling "poop. poop".

She had also hidden the wipes. I was holding her away from my body (because she had poo all over her feet!) while yelling at Bryan to find wipes. We probably looked like lunatics. We couldn't find the wipes, so Bryan thought we should hose her off in the sink.

Great idea!

She freaked. I was holding her with all my strength while she was thrashing about trying to get down, and Bryan was hosing her off.

She grabbed the nozzle and swiveled it over the counter.

There was poop in the bath. Poop in the laundry room. Poop trailed throughout the living room. Poop in my kitchen sink (EWWWW). And water all over the counter and the floor. It was ridiculous.

We got it all cleaned up, and I asked Bryan, "What the heck did we do to ourselves?"

Then Raelynn came up dressed like this.

Those are Simon's pants she tried to squeeze into.
She was walking around with both legs crammed into one pant leg.
Exciting times around here.

4 months

The new happenings of my Simon:
~ weighs in at 14 pounds
~ sleeps 12-14 hours every night
~ this kid is a HUGE blessing! I often say, "If you're going to have a 4th, have a Simon." Seriously, he's such a great baby!
~ Daddy got you to laugh out loud for the first time. It was one of the cutest moments I've ever witnessed.
~ only takes a pacifier when going to sleep, and if he loses it, he'll just suck on his thumb (I've never had a thumb sucker!)
~ loves to lay under his play gym....as long as Raelynn is not climbing on him
~ started to really like being carried around in the Moby wrap these past few weeks

dedicated

We dedicated Raelynn and Simon at church on February 17.
Isaiah and Elias were dedicated at Mosaic in Portland, and Raelynn and Simon were dedicated in Nampa at Bethel.
Our life has changed so much in the last 7 years.

Thank you, Jesus, for giving us these kiddos to raise to love you!
